MREW 2022-2024 Drug Aide Memoire pocketbook
The new MREW 2022-2024 Drug Aide Memoire is a ‘hill-fit’ pocketbook, which provides clear, concise adult and paediatric drug administration guidelines for all medicines listed within the current MREW Drug Formulary.
The spiral bound pocketbook is printed on waterproof, tear proof paper and is intended to be stored within Team drug kits to support qualified MREW Casualty Care Certificate (CCC) holders and suitably insured Mountain Rescue Health Care Professionals in drug administration and clinical decision making during callouts.
The pocketbook also provides a very useful reference for CCC trainees for medicines familiarisation and revision purposes.
The MREW 2022-2024 Drug Aide Memoire provides clear safe-practice prompts to support casualty carers in:
- Recording an AMPLE history
- Checking essentials such as dose, route, indications and contraindications prior to any drugs administration
- Adhering to detailed drug administration protocols
- Using an MRT Early Warning Score chart to meaningfully interpret a casualty’s clinical observations
- Providing clear incident reporting and casualty handover
