Natural minnows which are dying and struggling in the river are the easiest food for smallmouth bass to capture. These streamers convey the look of wounded prey.

Fish the Dace in the tails of the pools at dusk and dawn.

Fish the Chub in the middle of the large pools with a slow start-stop action to make it look like a dying minnow.

Fish the Shiner close beside the aquatic grassbeds and along the four foot deep drop offs beside the gravel bars.

Fish the Fat Head at the edge of fast and slow runs with a varied stripping action.
